Yummy Mummy

Excited dog meme

Oh my giddy aunt!  I’ve just discovered the article I wrote for Australian Catholics when the twins were first born has been published!  And you can read it online for free this time!  And they call me OUR NEW COLUMNIST.

SQUEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!

This is never going to get old.

You can read the article here, by the way (please do!).

Oh!  This has made my WEEK.

The last word in adhesive desserts … oh I can’t stop chuckling at that one! Great article. You definitely have a talent for writing.

Hi Kate. I loved your article in Australian catholics. (I just realized your last name is Moriarty….what a whopper of a last name (I’m thinking Sherlock Holmes)!) I agree with the above comments — great voice, great work. Love from this American Catholic who serves her kiddos Peanut butter and Jelly 5 days a week and doesn’t feel guilty about it! 😉

Thanks, Amy! I write under a pen name of sorts. “Moriarty” was my grandmother’s last name. Ma Ma always encouraged me in my writing, so I remember her in this way. We get into trouble if we send the kids to school with PB&J – anaphylaxis!

      Thanks for commenting!

Thank you, Anna! I was reading your blog on Christmas morning as I was feeding the twins, in that little bit of quiet before the other children woke up and realised it was Christmas.

That’s so nice! I feel happy my blog was part of your cosy Christmas morning!

I was thinking today as I cleaned up the kitchen for breakfast, with my little baby boy sleeping in the snugly on my chest, of how well Our Lady could relate to the usual tiredness of a mom on Christmas morning…having stayed up late filling stockings and doing last minute preparations for Christmas. I had never thought about it this way before…but she must have been exhausted—having just had her baby the night before!

Somehow, imagining her wonder on the first Christmas morning at the miracle of her beloved baby, and her tiredness after birthing and nursing all night, made me able to be more cheerful this morning, even after my post-midnight bedtime! 😉😴
